US buyer pays up for Petrochem
The Aliso Viejo, California-based firm had bought the assets on 30 September and was supposed to pay up by the end of last year.
But it was granted two extensions and finally transferred the money on Friday, Nafta Petrochem bankruptcy administrator Silvo Zorec told the STA.
"The proposal for the entry of the new owner [in the companies register] has already been sent to the court. Now we will divide up the purchase consideration and pay the creditors," Zorec said.
The US buyer has acquired two wholly owned subsidiaries of Nafta Petrochem, Metanol and Rezervoarji, as well as a 49% stake in the firm Industrijske storitve.
