Battle of words as opposing groups of protesters meet
The exchange is taking place on the site of a pro-refugee rally, where, according to various estimates, some 1,000 people gathered to welcome the applicants who arrived at a workers' dormitory earlier this week.
A counter-protest was staged just an hour later in front of Parliament house, from where several hundred protesters made their way to Kotnikova street, where the dormitory is located.
The two groups are now separated by a police buffer zone and continue chanting slogans at each other.
The anti-immigrant group, carrying Slovenian flags and flags with the old Carinthian symbol of the panther, a recurring symbol of patriotic groups, shouted slogans such as "Cerar resign", "For Slovenia".
The pro-refugee group, retorted with "We are anti-fascists", "No racism" and "No pasaran".
Individuals from both groups are shouting they will not back down first.
