The company will manage all preparatory and construction activities and is "a major step in efforts to construct the second track," Infrastructure Minister Peter Gašperšič said.

The company will initially be in 100% state ownership. It will subsequently be recapitalised, including by private partners, complete the project and manage the infrastructure under a concession agreement for a period of at least 30 years.
