The reforestation initiative is a joint effort by the Slovenian Forest Agency and the Slovenske železnice rail operator to help curb the damage done by the ice storm.

The ice storm devastated about half a million hectares of Slovenian forests and battered the railway line between Ljubljana and the port of Koper.

Employees and partners of the rail operator will also be taking part in the reforestation initiative.
