Passenger numbers at Slovenian airports up 10% in 2015
Ljubljana airport served 1.44 million passengers or 9.9% more than in 2014. Ninety percent travelled on scheduled flights, whose number rose by 12%. The number of charter flights fell by 8%.
Most passengers on scheduled flights flew between Slovenia and Germany (18%) and to the UK (12%).
The highest increase in passengers was recorded on flights to or from Switzerland (41%), while the biggest fall was on routes between Slovenia and Russia (-24%).
Most passengers on charter flight travelled between Slovenia and Greece (44%) and Turkey (14%), but the most substantial increase was on routes with Israel, where the number of passengers trebled.
Flag carrier Adria Airways carried 1.28 million passengers last year, up 15% from 2014.
