Slovenia becomes full member of Finabel
Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Alan Geder signed the accession document at the Finabel meeting in Lisbon last week.
Finabel was formed in 1953 and was named after the founding members France, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, the Slovenian Armed Forces wrote in a press release.
Together with Slovenia, Finabel numbers 21 members plus Croatia as an observer. The original idea of the organisation was harmonising the doctrines of the land forces, while today Finabel is a forum for interoperability between its members.
