Red Cross Week dedicated to charity

Nekategorizirano

In line with the international slogan, the Slovenian Red Cross Week is running under the motto 150 years of humanitarian activity in Slovenia - everywhere for everyone.

As every year, special postage stamps and surcharge bus and rail tickets will be on sale to raise funds for people in need. Last year, the organisation raised EUR 415,500 in such a way.

The festivities will open in the village Gradac in the southern region of Bela krajina, which hosts a museum collection of Slovenia's oldest charity.

The week will close on 15 May with a competition at a coastal youth health centre at Debeli rtič testing first-aid skills of primary school teams that won regional competitions.
