Slovenia presented as hi-tech country at Chinese fair
The fair, which will close on Sunday, is one of the most important platforms for economic cooperation between China and Central and East European countries, the SPIRIT investment promotion agency said in a press release.
According to the agency sponsoring Slovenia's participation in the fair, this year's event focuses on "deepening of cooperation and realisation of joint benefits and mutual results".
The Slovenian pavilion in Ningbo is the only national pavilion of Central and East European countries located in the hall where Chinese hi-tech corporations are being presented, SPIRIT said.
Slovenia is presenting its business and investment environment and proposals for partnerships between China and Central and East European countries in high-tec, innovative products and services and their transfer to national economies.
Slovenia is also being presented as a destination for winter sport events and as a partner to China as the country as a whole and the Hebei province in particular are preparing for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
The Slovenian pavilion drew significant attention from the visitors of the fair and the media on the very first day, SPIRIT said.
It was visited by numerous senior politicians from Central and East European countries and China, as well as representatives of the Slovenian Embassy in Beijing.
