New coin to mark 25th anniversary of independence
Slovenia gained independence on 25 June 1991. On that day, Banka Slovenije began operating as Slovenia's central bank.
Abandoning the Yugoslav dinar, the country adopted the Slovenian tolar as its first currency on 8 October 1991 and introduced the euro on 1 January 2007.
The coin will be available at branch offices of Deželna banka Slovenije, NKBM and the central bank.
