Slovenia's exports up 4.5% in the first half of the year
The export/import ratio was at 105.6%.
In June Slovenia's exports rose 2.7% year-on-year to EUR 2.2bn, with imports up 2.2% to EUR 2.03bn.
The export/import ratio stood at 108.6% as the monthly trade surplus hit EUR 174.8m, the highest this year.
The trade surplus was driven by higher exports to and lower imports from non-EU countries.
Nevertheless, the EU remains the linchpin of Slovenian trade, accounting for over three-quarters of total exports and over 80% of imports.
Italy and Germany are the main export markets, according to the statisticians.
