BAMC selling complex of Maribor bus maker
The asking price for the complex comprising 22,000 square metres of production premises and a total of 36,000 m2 of land plus production machinery and equipment, is EUR 5m.
The bids are expected by 14 November and may be higher or lower than the asking price.
BAMC bought the complex of the former Maribor bus and truck maker TVM in July after the bankruptcy estate administrator failed in several attempts to auction off the worthiest part of property belonging to the once proud manufacturer that went bust along with the rest of the logistic empire of Viator & Vektor.
While production at the site has been resumed by Tam Europe, the Chinese-owned company failed to use its pre-emptive right to buy the premises in the final auction.
The bad bank bought the complex at the asking price of EUR 3.5m in July, which was as much as the lessor had been offering in earlier auctions.
In March this year, Tam Europe announced it had given up on its attempts to get a EUR 2m government subsidy after waiting for the government incentive for its electric bus project for almost three years.
