Slovenian, Russian universities establish partnership
The research centre would have its headquarters in the coastal town of Koper and would function as a representation of the Russian university.
The agreement also enables the introduction of new common study programmes which will offer students a chance to obtain a double degree.
University of Primorsko Chancellor Dragan Marušič said the signing was "the most important event in the history of the university".
He sees it as an opportunity for strengthened cooperation in the master's programme in business, as well as in the Slavic culture, tourism, IT and mathematics programmes.
Lomonosov Chancellor Viktor Sadovnichy also highlighted cooperation in history studies, nanotechnology and IT.
