Daily Finance finds Slovenia taken over by optimism

The European Commission forecasts 3% growth for this year on the back of private spending, while CFOs surveyed by Deloitte are so upbeat they do not even see high taxes as too much of a bother.

"The side effect of this new optimism is new jobs. There are currently around 100,000 unemployed, and considering there were 60,000 in 2008 - which is some natural unemployment - we may infer we are doing quite well and that there is no major pressure on emigration," writes the paper in How's Emigration.

The paper also says that the effect of the optimism will come with a delay and that it may not necessarily show in June when the Statistics Office releases data for 2016, more likely a year later.

As for emigration, the paper says that the thinner flow of those who are moving out is also due to stories of failure of those who could not find their place in the world.
