The prices of regular and premium unleaded fuel will stay at EUR 1.287 and EUR 1.3, respectively, while diesel will cost EUR 1.238 per litre.

According to the press release, the government raised excise duties for unleaded fuel by 7.7% to EUR 442.44 per thousand litres and by 9.5% for diesel to EUR 379.20 per thousand litres.

Excise duties for heating oil will also go up, by 20.9% to EUR 104.54 per thousand litres, but its price will still go down.

The Finance Ministry estimates that the increase in excise duties will bring in over EUR 7m to the state purse a month.

Petrol prices in Slovenia are adjusted every two weeks in line with a pricing model combining the price of oil derivatives on global markets and the exchange rate of the US dollar.
