Temperatures will drop significantly to between 8 and 14 degrees Celsius during the day. Morning lows will range from 6 to 11.

Northerly and north-easterly winds will start to blow in the morning and rain will move in from the west. By the evening, snow will fall as low as 1,200 metres above sea level.

Despite the bora, which will start to blow in the afternoon and abate by Monday morning, temperatures on the coast will be slightly higher than inland - 15 degrees in the morning and 18 in the afternoon.

The cold front will cool the atmosphere and after a fortnight of sunny and warm weather Slovenians will have to get thicker coats from their closets.

But despite the rain forecast for Sunday, the rest of the week will be dry with temperatures between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius.
