Climber Garnbret defends lead title
Korean Jain Kim was second and British Molly Thompson-Smith won third place. Austrian Jakob Schubert won the men's competition.
Garnbret has shown spectacular performances in the past two seasons. She won in 2016 and this year defended the IFSC World Cup titles in lead and combined, and won the overall ranking.
This weekend, Garnbret was the only climber to reach the top of the wall three times in the Saturday qualifications and semifinals. This is the first victory for Garnbret in Kranj, who placed third at the final competition of the season in 2016 and 2015.
Slovenian veteran climber Mina Markovič placed fifth and Vita Lukan was seventh in what was her first final in a major competition.
In the men's competition, Austrian Schubert was the only climber to reach the top. Second place went to German Alexander Megos and Russian Dimitri Fakiryanov was third. Slovenia's Klemen Škofic was fourth.
