Average net wage up 2.4% in October year-on-year

Compared to September, the average net wage was up in October by 0.9% and 0.8% nominally and in real terms, respectively.

The average gross wage in October was meanwhile EUR 1,621.46 or 1.1% more than in September nominally and 1% more in real terms.

The average net wage was up in October on the monthly level by 1.5% in the private sector, while it remained almost the same in the public sector.

The highest average gross and net wage sector-wise was paid out in October in electricity, gas and steam supply (EUR 2,325.27 and EUR 1,460.89, respectively).

On the monthly level, the average net wage was up the most in October in manufacturing, by 2.5%, while on the annual level it increased the most in healthcare and social security (by 6.1%).

Region-wise, the highest average net wage was paid out in the central Slovenian statistical region (EUR 1,140.26), and the lowest in the south-western Primorsko-notranjsko region (EUR 950.73).

In the first ten months of the year, the average monthly gross wage was EUR 1,603.75, which is 2.3% more nominally and 0.9% more in real terms than in the same period last year.

The average monthly net wage for the period was meanwhile up by 2.5% nominally and by 1.1% in real terms to EUR 1,045.85.
