The economy minister nominee, Tomaz Oresic, said that he would strive for boosting competitiveness of the economy and improving the energy sector if appointed, while interior minister nominee Branko Janc said he would not allow politics to interfere with police work. Public administration minister nominee Zdenka Vidovic opted against a uniform pay cut in the public sector and a ban on new hiring, while culture minister nominee Samo Bevk would strive for an efficient, effective and transparent use of culture funds.
