Romanian Agency Awarded at Golden Drum
As part of the festival, running between Wednesday and Saturday, 1,701 ads from 37 countries were presented, down from last year's 2,000 from 41 countries. Slovenian agencies competed with 43 ads, which is about a half of the average participation.
The Golden Net Award for the most successful agency network of the year went to Leo Burnett of Poland. The most awarded brand, which won the Brand Grand Prix Award, was Vodafone.
Leo Burnett's "Secrets Behind Paintings", an advertising campaign for the National Museum in Krakow was selected the best advertising campaign.
The Virtuoso Award in the category Best Cinematography went to directors of photography Jiri Malek and Mischa Rozema of the Czech Republic for Year Zero/Offf Barcelona 2011 Savage.
Meanwhile, in the Best Illustration category, the Virtuoso Award went to Paolo Garcia for Aspirin Before & After Bride, Driver in Employee, BBDO Russia Group.
The winners of the Off Drum Poster Award competition are Mateusz Gaca and Aleksandra Marchocka of Polish agency Netizens, who won the award for a series of posters Edward Scissorhands 1, 2 and 3.
This year a total of 46 Silver Drum awards, 39 Golden Drums awards and 14 Grand Prix awards were conferred.
