Flixbus's Ljubljana-Belgrade line back after more than a year
Ljubljana - The bus operator Flixbus is relaunching its bus route from Slovenia to Serbia after more than a year of inactivity. Starting on May 20, its coaches will be taking passengers on the Ljubljana-Belgrade route four times a week, while adhering to the epidemiologic measures.
Announcing the relaunch, Flixbus said on Tuesday that Ljubljana was an important junction for its routes and an attractive tourist destination.
The operator currently has connections with key destinations in Croatia, Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. This way, Slovenia has a direct connection to Zagreb, Split, Vienna, Venice, Zurich, Munich, Stuttgart and Frankfurt.
"The improved epidemiological situation allowed us to start operating in Slovenia some time ago, although to a reduced extent. Favourable situation and increased demand for travel in Slovenia and Serbia, as well as across Europe, encouraged us to establish new routes," said Ante Grbeša of Flixbus.
International travel with Flixbus from Slovenia is also possible from Maribor and Ptuj. The company also plans to introduce new destinations, while major routes are expected to be relaunched at the beginning of June.
