Ljubljana - Conventa Week starts in Ljubljana on Tuesday, combining the Conventa Trade Show and the 2021 Conventa Crossover conference. The event will bring together 75 exhibitors from 13 countries and 126 guests from 24 countries and will simultaneously take place live and online until Friday.

"Conventa seeks to be an example of how to carry out larger events in a safe and responsible way during the Covid-19 epidemic. It is a festival of the region's meetings industry, proving its resilience and always finding new ways and opportunities," the organisers said in a press release.

According to Conventa co-founder Gorazd Čad, organising this year's event was extremely challenging, both because of the high expectations of the attendees and logistical constraints. The PCT rule of recovered, vaccinated, tested will be strictly observed, he noted.

"The organisation of this year's event was challenging in many ways, especially in terms of logistics. Nevertheless, after a long marathon, we are ready to deliver a diverse and bold programme that dictates a hybrid future for the meetings industry," said Čad.

According to the organisers, 86% of all participants said they had been vaccinated. They were also surprised to learn that most foreign guests will be attending the event live. Nevertheless, the organisers are confident that they will be able to ensure a safe event.

The Conventa Trade Show will take place on Wednesday and Thursday and is to be attended by 75 exhibitors and 110 guests from abroad. The organisers expect more than 2,500 appointments to be made between exhibitors and buyers, as more than 1,800 have already been confirmed.

Conventa brings together representatives of event marketing agencies, advertising agencies, tour operators, hotels, event venues and catering companies, as well as artists, technicians and clients.
