Transit rules remain in place at least until 5 September
Ljubljana - Passengers transiting Slovenia will not need to meet the tested-vaccinated-recovered (PCT) requirement when entering the country at least until 5 September, in line with a government decree that entered into force on Friday.
The government warned in mid-August that transit without the PCT requirement would not be possible after 23 August, but the current system was nevertheless extended.
Passengers entering Slovenia must provide proof of testing, vaccination or recovery from Covid-19 if they want to avoid a 10-day quarantine at home. Transit passengers, lorry drivers, children under 15, property owners and working migrants remain exempt from the rule.
As of today, the list of exceptions also includes persons taking a child under 15 to school or kindergarten if they return within two hours.
The government has also changed Covid-19 rules for indoor sport activities as of today. Under a government decree, persons over 15 exercising in indoor sports facilities need to meet the PCT requirement.
For athletes over 15 the PCT requirement is required only if they train in a school facility.
The PCT requirement remains in place for matches and competitions, for both athletes and spectators.
