Industrial output up almost nine percent in July
Ljubljana - Slovenia's industrial output contracted by 1.7% on a monthly basis in July but increased by 8.9% year-on-year, show data released by the Statistics Office on Friday. July's output was up over the pre-Covid year 2019 as well, by 2.8%.
Industrial revenue was down by 3.2% on the monthly basis, the result of a 3.6% drop on foreign markets and a 1.6% decrease on the domestic market, however the figure rose by 8.4% year-on-year.
July's revenue increased also on the same month in 2019, by 2.8%.
At monthly level, Slovenia's industry contracted in all sectors: in mining and quarrying it decreased by 11.7%, in the electricity, gas and steam supply by 5.9% and in manufacturing by 1.2%.
Year-on-year, output increased only in manufacturing (+10.6%), whereas it was down in mining and quarrying (-10.5%) and in electricity, gas and steam supply (-6.4%).
