Ljubljana - President Borut Pahor will pay a visit to Serbia and Kosovo on Sunday and Monday. He is scheduled to meet Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on Sunday, and Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Monday, Pahor's office said in a press release.

The purpose of the talks with top Serbian and Kosovar officials is to exchange views on the dialogue between Belgrade and Prishtina, the situation in the Western Balkans, the region's EU prospects and the preparations for the next summit of the Brdo-Brijuni Process, an initiative of regional cooperation.

Pahor, being the supreme commander of the Slovenian Armed Forces, will also visit the 44th Slovenian contingent participating in the KFOR mission in Kosovo and the KFOR commanding staff.

Most of the Slovenian troops in Kosovo are stationed in the Villaggio d'Italia barracks in Peć.

The president will be acquainted with the situation in the area where the Slovenian contingent performs its duties.

At the meeting with senior army officials from the KFOR command, including the KFOR commander and the RC West commander, the topical issues in Kosovo will be discussed as well as activities and the situation in the operation, and future role of the Slovenian contingent.
