PM Janša in Germany meeting Deutsche Bahn Boss
Economic cooperation will be in the focus at the outset of the visit, as Janša is scheduled to discuss potential investments with German business representatives, including CEO of Deutsche Bahn Rüdiger Grube, the PM's office said.
The talks are expected to touch on the possibilities for reviving the idea of building a Slovenian logistics holding around Slovenian railways operator Slovenske železnice in partnership with DB.
Janša recently announced that the government would look for strategic partners to invest in large infrastructure projects. He added that he hoped the missed opportunity in 2008 to establish the logistics holding was not dead and buried.
The meetings on Tuesday will be a prelude to Wednesday's official part of the visit, as part of which Janša will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The talks with Merkel are expected to touch on reform efforts aimed at overcoming the EU debt crisis, in addition to bilateral relations and international issues.
