Delo reports SPIRIT agency director resigned
Ljubljana - After Tomaž Kostanjevec stepped down as a member of the supervisory board of Pošta Slovenije earlier this week, he also resigned as director of the SPIRIT agency for the promotion of entrepreneurship and investment, the newspaper Delo reported on Saturday.
According to reports by Delo, Kostanjevec changed his mind after handing in his resignation, but the members of the SPIRIT agency's board found that his irrevocable resignation could not be withdrawn or revoked.
The agency's board members voted on whether they agreed with the irrevocable resignation of the director at an extraordinary correspondence meeting on Friday, and did not wish to comment on their vote, says Delo.
Earlier this week, Kostanjevec also stepped down as a member of the supervisory board of the state-run postal company Pošta Slovenije, after the board endorsed Tomaž Kokot for a full term as CEO of the company.
Kostanjevec said that the reason for the move was personal, but unofficial sources indicate that he stepped down due to political pressure related to Kokot's appointment at Tuesday's session of the supervisory board.
