Oslo - Slovenian Nika Križnar finished second in the women's Ski Jumping World Cup event in Oslo as part of the Raw Air tournament, finishing behind Silje Opseth of Norway and ahead of Sara Takanashi of Japan.

Opseth had jumps of 129 and 131.5 metres to earn 249.7 points, only 2.4 points ahead of Križnar (247.1 points, 127.5 and 126.5 metres), while Takanashi was more than nine points behind the Slovenian (124 and 125.5 metres).

"I did a great job and deservedly finished in this place," Križnar said, congratulating Opseth on her first World Cup win.

Slovenia's Urša Bogataj (235.4 points, 123.5 and 125 metres) finished just below the podium, in fourth place.

Austria's Marita Kramer finished seventh, but has retained her overall World Cup lead, with a 200-points advantage ahead of the second-placed Križnar and 310 points ahead of the third-placed Bogataj.

"I'm quite happy with today's event. I want to continue in this way and if I succeeded, I would be very happy," Bogataj said.

The Raw Air tournament around Norway will conclude on Sunday in Holmenkollen above Oslo with a second event for women ski jumpers.

Slovenia's head coach Zoran Zupančič said that "today we again saw a nice team success, and let's hope that we will hear our anthem in Holmenkollen."
