Ljubljana - Slovenia reported 1,643 new cases of coronavirus for Tuesday, an increase of more than 40% over the week before. Hospital figures declined slightly, Health Ministry data show.

Seventy people were treated in hospital with Covid-19 as their primary condition this morning, down by 11 over yesterday. Another ten were in intensive care due to Covid, down by two.

Three patients with Covid-19 died.

The 14-day incidence per 100,000 population now stands at 558, down by more than a hundred from yesterday, while the number of active cases is estimated at just over 12,000, according to the National Institute of Public Health.
