New Bosch production plant to get EUR 829,000 incentive
Ljubljana - The Slovenian subsidiary of the German group Bosch Rexroth will get up to EUR 829,308 in state incentive for its new production facility close to Ljubljana airport, under a decision taken by the government on Thursday. Valued at EUR 13.2 million, the investment is to create 123 new jobs, including 23 highly qualified.
According to a press release issued after Thursday's correspondence session of the cabinet, the government included Bosch Rexroth's project into the plan of development programmes for the 2022-2025 period.
Started in July 2021, the investment is slated for completion on 31 December 2024. The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology will pay up to EUR 206,625 to the investor in 2022, up to EUR 480,183 in 2023, and up to EUR 142,500 in 2024.
According to information available on the government's website, the project involves investment into production of hand-held tools and machinery.
In February the company told the STA they were planning to relocate from their current three locations - in Škofja Loka, Železniki and Šenčur - to the new single location by Ljubljana airport, which would offer enough space for further growth and development. The move to the new location is planned in the first quarter of 2023.
Bosch Rexroth is the Slovenian part of its namesake German group, which is part of the wider Bosch industrial conglomerate. It has around 400 employees and its products are divided into medium-frequency welding transformers for spot welding, used in the automotive industry, and synchronous and asynchronous servo and in-line motors, used in the mechanical engineering and automation industries.
