Žirovnica - Ngen, an energy system solutions company, officially launched its new business centre in Žirovnica this weekend. The company, owned by crypto millionaire Damian Merlak and CEO Roman Bernard, moved its seat to the EUR 11 million facility.
Dealing with advanced solutions in electricity storage, Ngen has grown rapidly in a few years, having penetrated to the European market, so it needed more space, according to Mirjam Bernard form the company. So far its almost 40 employees had been working in Elektro Gorenjska facilities.
According to Bernard, the EUR 11 million project was also meant as a way to repay the local community as it will diversify the offering of services in the town, featuring a beauty salon, restaurant, dental office, electric appliances shop and a Mercator shop. The latter is to open in June.
A part of the building's roof is green and the other part is a solar power plant.
