Golob holds previous govt responsible for cut in EU funds
Madrid - Prime Minister Robert Golob pointed the finger at the previous government as he commented on news that Slovenia's EU recovery fund will be cut by EUR 286 million due to higher than projected GDP growth.
"Slovenia will get less funding than predicted due to an agreement signed by the previous government," he said, adding that this agreement contained certain conditions that led to the funding cuts.
Asked whether Slovenia had become the victim of its own success, he said that "it seems so on paper," as he noted that "the sacrifice is very big."
