Built-on green technology

For a number of years Bosch has been "hiding" this awareness internally under the name of Green Technology. Bosch home appliances have a hidden built-in feature called saving. Bosch, as a manufacturer of friendly home appliances, has for decades paid special attention to environmental concerns and the saving of resources, including energy, at all life stages of its products: development, the selection of materials, manufacture, transport and the use and recycling of discarded appliances. Through improvements and innovation it has achieved remarkable energy savings in individual product groups compared to energy consumption by similar appliances 15 years ago. Today Bosch dishwashers consume 48% less energy, washing machines 57%, dryers 62% and refrigerators and freezers as much as 74% less energy than 15 years ago.

Cooling, freezing and saving 24/7

Major savings in households are possible in the long-term, in particular for household appliances that operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, namely refrigerators and freezers. Bosch refrigerators and freezers, from the A+++ energy efficiency class, require about 50% less energy than those bearing the A+ label. This translates into huge energy savings as these appliances operate without a break and have the longest average useful life of all household appliances. Electronic control with a temperature display ensures accurate maintenance of the desired temperature, thus optimising energy consumption.

ActiveWater in dishwashers

Bosch's invention - ActiveWater, ensures that dishwashers use every single drop of water. Rapid warming, an optimised filtering technique, a reasonable distribution of water and better absorption means less water, less energy and more power. All ActiveWater dishwashers can also be used with a hot water connection. Nature-friendly water management resulting from smart water use ensures minimal water consumption per wash cycle: only 6.5 litres of water with the regular programme, with optimal cleanliness. Bosch dishwashers have the built-in AquaSensor water saving feature that controls the amount of water, with the option of filling the appliance with only half the amount of water for washing smaller quantities of dishes. Higiena plus is a function intended for washing dishes used by infants and young children, which require particularly high levels of cleanliness.

Quiet in operation and invisible in the bank account

Washing machines are usually so loud that we can hear them right away when large piles of laundry are washed. With Bosch washing machines you will keep checking whether the washing has already finished because the EcoSilence Drive motor is almost inaudible. The built-in VarioPerfect green technology makes for a further 30% reduction in energy consumption, while increasing speed up to 60%. Bosch washing machines will increase the monthly electricity bill only very slightly. They have a built-in i-DOS smart automatic dispenser, which helps reduce the amount of laundry detergent required and saves up to 7,062 litres of water a year.

Exceptional drying power

Bosch's ActiveAir Technology™ is an innovative, high-end heat pump technology which, unlike condensation dryers, operates without conventional heating. The WTY88780EU model from the HomeProfessional line is generally up to 60% more economical than the limit value regarded as the benchmark of the highest A class energy efficiency. Bosch's EcoLogixx 7 S is the world's first dryer with a heat pump equipped with a self-cleaning condenser. During each drying process, the condenser automatically cleans itself up to four times - an innovation that spares users the manual cleaning of the condenser.
