Ljubljana - Slovenia logged 2,528 daily coronavirus cases on Tuesday, 708 more than a week ago but down significantly on Monday's six-month record of 4,530. Four patients with Covid-19 died.

Hospital care due to Covid-19 was needed for 73 people, including six at intensive units, respectively down by five and one on the day before, data released by the Health Ministry shows.

According to the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), the 7-day average of new cases is now at 1,855, up 101 from the day before. The 14-day incidence per 100,000 of the population increased by 48 to 1,070.

The number of active cases is estimated at 22,570, up by 1,117 on the day before.
