Gradual increase in Covid cases persists
Ljubljana - A total of 2,615 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Slovenia on Wednesday, an increase of nearly a tenth on the week before, as the case count continues to tick up in line with models predicting an imminent second peak of the autumn wave.
There were 83 patients with Covid as their primary condition in hospital yesterday, down four on the day before, plus another 14 in intensive care, up by four.
Four patients with Covid-19 died, according to Health Ministry data.
The averages continue to steadily increase as well with the 14-day incidence per 100,000 population now at 1,386 and the rolling seven-day average of daily cases at 2,127, show data by the National Institute of Public Health.
