Dnevnik poll puts Logar ahead of Pirc Musar, Brglez third

Politics

Ljubljana - The latest poll by Dnevnik confirms earlier polling that put Anže Logar, MP for the opposition Democrats (SDS), ahead of lawyer Nataša Pirc Musar. Social Democratic MEP Milan Brglez is in third place.

Logar polled at 28.2%, with Pirc Musar more than three points behind at 23.6% and Brglez trailing at 18.9%.

All other candidates are below 5%.

The results differ significantly from Dnevnik's earlier poll, but are not directly comparable due to new entrants and the pollster Ninamedia using a different methodology.

Pirc Musar would still win a run-off against Logar, with 46% to 40.8%, or against Brglez, at 37% to 33.7%.

However, Logar would defeat Brglez, getting 44.4% compared to 41.7% for the joint candidate of two coalition parties.

The telephone poll was conducted on 28 and 29 September and involved 1,000 respondents.
