Former PM for Croatian TV: I underestimated problems in banks
Borut Pahor was very clear about his relationship with ex PM of Croatia Ivo Sanader who allegedly step down because of Slovenia's territorial claims in Piran bay. He was just not able to get credible agreement about border dispute with former Croatian PM Ivo Sanader, who was obviously convienced that Slovenia will be forced to make concessions to Croatia under the pressure from major EU countries. Pahor didn't want to comment about the other reasons for former Croatian PM Sanader to resign.
He pointed out that the chemistry and the trust were crucial elements that led to later arbitration agreement with Croatian PM Jadranka Kosor. He also explained that the location of his first meeting with Jadranka Kosor has been changed in the last moment on his request because he wanted total privacy, without different secret services listening the conversation.
Borut Pahor also said that current government in Slovenia should be able to finish her mandate and adopt crucial reforms which are on the table. He admitted that his government in 2009 and 2010 underestimated the problems in banking sector and he takes all responsibility for that. He was critical about current opposition and major unions in Slovenia who are narrowly focused just on destabilisation of Janša's government at all cost ignoring the real national interests. He thinks that in this time Slovenia must find consensus about major development questions and avoid ideological divisions.
