Positive Slovenia gained 1.6 points to 15.6%, followed by the SocDems with 13.9% and the SDS with 12.5%, which dropped 4.5 points compared to last month's poll.

Other parties are far behind, with the People's Party (SLS) at 3.1% and the Citizen's List (DL), New Slovenia (NSi) and the Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) at between two and three percent.

The government's approval rating remains low at 21.2% as over 73% of respondents said it was doing a poor job.

Only 22.1% of respondents were in favour of the referendums on the bad bank and the Slovenia Sovereign Holding while over two-thirds were against.

In the presidential race, incumbent Danilo Türk leads with 46.5% (-1.5 points compared to last month), followed by Borut Pahor with 23% (-1) and Milan Zver with 20.1% (+2.1). In a run-off between Türk and Pahor, the former would get just over 51% of the vote.

The survey, published by daily Dnevnik and commercial broadcaster POP TV, was conducted by polling agency Ninamedia between 16 and 18 October on a sample of 700 individuals.
