The AGBA accelerator, where CE Polimat office has been set up, ranks among top business accelerators in the USA.In 2008 it won the National Business Incubation Association  award (NBIA) for best innovation programme among 11.000 other business incubation programmes. Recently, Business Courier named it number one business accelerator in Ohio.

AGBA provides working environment and a wide variety of technical, administrative, marketing and professional services for companies. Its members include start-ups as well as well established companies in fields od advanced technologies, polymer science, biomedicine, IT services and renewable energy.  One of the main components of the AGBA programme is financial aid, as it helps procuring investment capital for companies and provides access to government grants and loans, also for international companies.

At this point, the collaboration between CE PoliMaT and the city of Akron is focused on testing new markets for new technology solutions, new R&D programmes and on providing support for Slovenian industrial partners when entering the US market.
