Medja was surprisingly direct and sincere about the situation in Slovenian banks.He pointed out that we must immeadiately face the truth: banking sector is making a loss every month in this moment. The banks will have to restructure very soon, some of them already did, but at the same time the majority of companies will have to restructure too. They just must start to produce products that create profit and this is the only way to create new long term capital.

About popular "credit crunch problem" he thinks that we should be more focused on "capital crunch".
99% of Slovenian companies are coming for new credits just for restructuring existing ones, they are just borrowing from new banks to pay old banks or they have problem with payment discipline of their customers. This is neverending circle and road to economic disaster.

Telling the truth about current situation is first urgent step to restore general confidence. In the past Slovenia on general suffered from critical  "credit addiction" denying the growing problems and postponing solutions to the indefinite future. He refused to comment on government measures in banking sector but important is that something is finally happening.
