Slovenian households spent on average EUR 46 on the internet, television and fixed telephony services in October 2012, up from EUR 45 a month in 2011 and EUR 42.5 a year earlier, shows the report, published by the Agency for Post and Electronic Communications (APEK).

Three out of four households do not see the rising bills as a reason to cancel their subscription to electronic services, but the proportion of those who are considering discontinuing subscription to one or all services because of the costs is rising, from 22% in October 2010 to 26% in October 2012.

Meanwhile, a slight downward trend has been recorded in monthly bills for mobile telephony services. Each household spent EUR 58.3 on average on mobile services a month in October, down from EUR 50.8 in the same period a year ago.

Nevertheless, a growing number of households deem mobile services bills too high; the proportion of those rose from 48% in 2011 to 53% this year.

The report, based on a telephone survey conducted in cooperation with the polling firm Valicon in November and December, shows that 24% of households access the internet via a mobile phone or a datacard. The average average monthly spending on mobile data services amounted to 25 euros per household in October 2012.
