Tolling revenues, which make up for the bulk of all income of DARS, were 1% lower than in 2011, with revenues from the sale of vignettes for cars increasing by 1% and revenues from tolls for lorries declining by 3%.

Business expenses, which contributed three quarters to the total expenditure, were 6% lower in 2012 and the labour costs were also reduced.

Apart from reviewing the business results DARS supervisors discussed at their meeting on Thursday the progress of the company's reorganisation, the reports on open construction projects and the progress in the introduction of a free flow electronic tolling system.

A call for tenders for the new tolling system is open until mid-April.
