Skiing: Maze 3rd in Final Slalom, Loses Small Globe to Shiffrin
Maze, who came to Lenzerheide with a minimal seven points lead over Shiffrin, looked like adding the slalom globe to the super-g and overall cup after the first run.
She was leading, commanding a comfortable 1.17 seconds lead over fourth-placed Shiffrin, the US skier however delivered a flawless second run.
"I am disappointed and jaded after all the races and emotions in this season...I was not fully on top in the second run...I had one coffee too much and was simply dizzy...The season was great, but I also make mistakes," Maze told RTV Slovenija after the race.
