Slovenian Business Delegation Heading for Bosnia

The trip is being organised in cooperation with the GZS's Bosnian partner organisations and business representatives interested in cooperating with Slovenian companies.

About 20 Slovenian companies will be represented in the delegation, which will attend three business events. There is a great interest in the events also in Bosnia, according to the GZS.

On Tuesday, the Slovenian delegation will meet members of the Slovenian Business Club in Bosnia-Herzegovina in Sarajevo, and event that will also be attended by Slovenian Ambassador to Bosnia Andrej Grasselli.

On Wednesday, a meeting will be held at the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where an agreement on cooperation, focusing on joint European projects for the strengthening of Bosnia's exports capabilities and joint entrance to third markets, will be signed with the GZS.

Several bilateral meetings of Slovenian and Bosnian business executives will follow, while a business networking event will be organised near Zenica, the fourth-largest city in Bosnia.

Slovenia invested a total of EUR 656.6m into Bosnia by the end of 2010, which is 17.4% of all Slovenian investments into the Western Balkans or 11.9% of all investments abroad, according to data by the SIPRIT agency.

Bosnia is the third most popular destination for Slovenian investments (right after Serbia and Croatia) and the country's 11th most important foreign trade partner.

Trade between the countries reached EUR 853.5m in 2010.
