Maze was the overall winner in Alpine skiing this season, winning the big crystal globe and two small ones in giant slalom and super-G competitions. She scored 2,414 points, breaking the absolute record in Alpine skiing set by Hermann Maier in 1999/2000 season by 414 points.
Her closest pursuer, Maria Höfl-Riesch, lagged behind as much as 1,313 points, which was also the widest gap ever recorded in Alpine skiing.
On Monday, Maze was already welcomed with an open-air party in her home town of Črna na Koroškem. Yesterday, she and her trainer and partner Andrea Massi had lunch with outgoing Prime Minister Janez Janša and his spouse Urška Bačovnik Janša.
Fak won bronze at Biathlon World Cup in February, while Prevc bagged bronze in the Nordic World Cups in Predazzo. The final competition of the season still awaits Prevc and his team mates - this weekend they will try to conquer their home turf in Planica.
