Obama stressed that he appreciated the "strong bilateral ties" between the US and Slovenia and the countries' joint commitment as part of NATO to developing of peace and security around the word, "from the Balkans to Afghanistan".

He wished Bratušek a lot of success with the implementation of hard but necessary reforms.

The US president also pointed out that he was looking forward to cooperating with Bratušek in further enhancing of the relations between Slovenia and the US, strengthening of the Transatlantic community and facing the challenges of the 21st century.
