Rok Tičar was the scorer of both Slovenian goals, in the 7th and 35th minute, while Kim Staal (24th) Morten Madsen (46th) and Morten Green (62nd) scored for the Danish team.

Slovenia, who also lost against Norway and the Ukraine, will face Switzerland, the presently leading team in group A, on Wednesday in what will be the fourth of seven games in the preliminary round.

The two last placed teams from both preliminary groups will be relegated to lower-division World Championships.
