The poems were translated by Kolja Mičević, who immersed himself in his works especially at the turn of the millennium around the poet's 200th birthday, according to the Slovenian Embassy in Paris.

The book also contains Prešeren's biographical data and a list of names and notes at the end. The preface, written by Tatjana Globokar, places Prešeren and his works in a historical background, which is an added value to the French readers who are not Prešeren connoisseurs.
