According to Valena, the collection of essays is not just another book with a new interpretation of Plečnik's work, but rather analyses his the architect in the view of so far rarely debated topics, giving his work new context.

The collection brings individual studies that were published on different occasions in German, English, Czech and Italian in books and architecture magazines, as well as two new articles, the publisher said in a press release.

Valena started analysing the work of Plečnik, who supposedly peaked creatively in Prague, in the early 1980s, focusing on the early stages of his creative process.

The bilingual book on Fürst meanwhile brings a comprehensive presentation of the pioneer of prefabricated construction in Slovenia, a co-founder of the Slovenian Architect magazine and an organiser of many events that left an important mark on the development of architecture of the second half of the 20th century in Slovenia.
