The visit is being organised by Slovenia's investment and tourism promotion agency SPIRIT, which said the forum was dedicated to networking of small and medium-sized companies from all sectors looking to do business in Mexico or Latin America.

The Slovenian business representatives are also expected to use the opportunity to hold talks with the economic adviser at the Slovenian Ambassador to the US Gorazd Renčelj and former Mexican Ambassador in Vienna Alejandro Diaz to speak about best ways of doing business in Mexico.

SPIRIT will also be represented at the forum with a stall presenting Slovenia as an investment destination.

Slovenia and Mexico currently have limited business ties, with trade between the countries standing at EUR 58m in 2012, of which Slovenian exports accounted for EUR 48m. There are no Mexican investments in Slovenia.
