Slovenian, Croatian Presidents Discuss LB Issue
Pahor stressed that Slovenia had fully implemented its part of the obligations from the memorandum, the president's office said in a press release.
The relations between the two neighbours have been put to another test as a court in Zagreb decided recently to to ignore the provision in the memorandum envisaging the staying of court proceedings regarding the LB issue in Croatia.
The court argued that the memorandum signed between then Slovenian PM Janez Janša and Croatia's Zoran Milanović is not a treaty and continued with the proceedings against the defunct LB bank and its successor NLB.
Pahor and Josipović confirmed their commitment to friendly relations and expressed hope that the two governments will find a solution for the LB issue on the basis of the memorandum and the agreement on succession issues.
The pair also discussed the continuation of the Brdo Process of cooperation of Western Balkan countries and the meeting of the presidents of Austria, Slovenia and Croatia in Vienna in March 2014.
